The resort of Kalami is only 2 minutes away and can be reached by road or on foot via several pathways off the main coast road. It has a pretty shingle beach and its waters are lovely and clear making it perfect for snorkellers and swimmers as well as those who enjoy lazing on the beach, you can also find watersports down in the bay. The resort has several waterfront taverna?s where you can dine day and night serving fine Greek cuisine and fresh fish daily. There are 3 supermarkets, 2 bars and tourist offices where you can arrange excursions, an exchange, car hire and boat hire etc.

FIRST FLOOR
Kitchen -
The first floor provides the main entrance to the property leading into a fully equipped yet light and modern kitchen/dining area with beech units, granite effect worktops and stainless steel utensils, you name it this kitchen has it. You will find a ceramic hob and extractor fan, full oven, dishwasher, washing machine and separate dryer, microwave combi oven, full sized fridge freezer, iron and ironing board and an extensive selection of electrical appliances and cooking utensils.

Lounge -
Adjacent to the kitchen is a lounge room complete with two leather sofas one of which is a double sofabed, a marble fireplace, ceiling fan, TV with Sky Television receiver, CD player, DVD and video recorder with extensive video library. This lounge room also has a separate external entrance which is useful for privacy should this room need to be used as a further bedroom depending on the occupancy.

Shower Room -
Also there is a Shower/WC room on this floor ideal for visitors or should the lounge be used as a further bedroom.

Outside -
On this level there is a covered balcony with modern dining furniture. It is an ideal place for al fresco dining being accessed from the kitchen door and also the lounge, with stunning sea views. Having breakfast here is a real treat for the morning looking out over the sea.

GROUND FLOOR
Bedrooms -
Taking the 'stone spiral steps' down from the kitchen to the ground floor you will find 2 twin bedrooms simply decorated but with modern furnishings. These rooms both have ceiling fans in addition to the air conditioning and are provided with a hairdryer and a TV and video.

Shower Room -
Again there is a separate Shower/WC room on this floor.

Outside -
On this level there is also a door leading out onto a small courtyard with seating and barbeque area. This is an ideal quiet shaded space for reading and this enclosed gated courtyard also provides separate access to the property if necessary should there be more than 1 family sharing the house.

SECOND FLOOR
Master Bedroom -
Climbing up the stone spiral staircase from the first floor and kitchen is the master en-suite bedroom with exposed wooden beamed ceiling and sun terrace area.
The bedroom has two French doors with stunning views, one leading onto the 'pink' balcony and the other overlooking the village. The master bedroom has modern fitted furniture and wardrobes, a drinks fridge, ceiling fan additional to the air conditioning, a TV and video recorder.

En-suite Bathroom -
There is a large tiled bathroom with full bath, shower and WC and wall mounted hairdryer. Having a full sized bath with shower over in the en-suite bathroom gives you the luxury of choice and space!

Outside -
The main upper ?pink? balcony and sun terrace can be accessed from the master bedroom and also separately from a further set of French doors at the top of the main stone staircase. There is a large partly covered balcony and sun terrace furnished with hammocks, loungers to laze around in, side tables and high bar stools with table, yet another fridge saving trips to the kitchen, surely this is definitely the place to relax and soak up the suns rays. From this vantage point you will again find the spectacular sea views overlooking Kalami bay and Albania and also the eye catching views of Corfu town in the distance to the rear.

POOL AREA

Aside from the balconies and terrace in front of the house we have added a small swimming pool (6x4m) it also has a shallow shelf fitted with Jacuzzi jets to relax and enjoy the further stunning views. There is again a seating area and from this vantage point being opposite the house you can look down upon the famous Durrell White House.
Perched above the bay of Kalami in the pretty hamlet of Vlachatika is ?The Pink House'. The building has been lovingly renovated and some of the original exterior walls of this impressive building are 80cm thick in places, keeping the lower level of the house cool in summertime and warm in the winter months. The views are simply stunning and will never cease to amaze the discerning traveller.
